Robert Antoine Pinchon (1886-1943) was a French landscape painter born in Rouen, Normandy. He studied at École des Beaux-Arts and exhibited at Salon des Artistes Français where he received several awards. Pinchon was known for his impressionistic style and use of bright colors to depict the natural beauty of the French countryside. He was friends with other notable artists of his time, including Claude Monet and Pierre-Auguste Renoir. During World War I, Pinchon served in the French army and was wounded in battle. Later in life, he became a professor of art at École des Beaux-Arts in Rouen. Pinchon died in Rouen in 1943. Today, his works can be found in museums and private collections around the world.
